Mrs Bruty

In 1995 I joined a Slimming group and lost almost 4 stone, I managed to maintain a reasonably trim figure until 2013/2014. At this point in my life my husband was diagnosed with Myeloma (blood cancer), we began an arduous journey of hospital appointments, monthly check ups and general monitoring of his condition. In the Summer of 2015 he had to begin chemotherapy and in April 2016 he underwent a Stem Cell transplant. During his treatment I began comfort eating, and got a taste for Sauvignon Blanc and also had to start taking Anti-depressants, needless to say I started putting on the pounds, but his health was my main concern.

Now nearly 3 years on he is in remission and I am trying to get myself back on track, I have rejoined a Slimming group and am determined to get to a weight at which I feel comfortable, although I know I will never be slim again!! I choose to have a Kensa Boudoir shoot as I want to embrace the woman I have become through adversity.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, Charlotte did my make up and put me at ease making sure I was happy with the way I looked. Then Karen took the photos, she was so attentive and kind. My sister came along to help me with some of my wardrobe, we both really enjoyed the experience (I have bought her a sitting for a present), it was a really girlie treat.

I am thrilled with the photos, and so is my Husband! There are times in life which can make us feel overwhelmed, consumed and ultimately Invisible. Kensa has helped me see myself in a different light, to look and feel glamorous and sensual again after a very dark period of my life. I highly recommend you do this and can’t thank the team enough for making me feel so special.
