I’m Kathy, a maybe transwoman, I’m not really sure, not fully out, and not full time fem.
Maybe 2 to 3 years ago I contacted Kensa Boudoir about a photo session, but for whatever reason (I think I was scared!) it didn’t happen.
Then, with a new found friendship gently pushing me, I made contact, and with 3 days I was all booked up!
Karen and I spoke on the phone, and within seconds of the first call, the nerves had gone, replaced by excitement and smiles.
The day came, and strangely no nerves, just a feeling that it was right. So right.
Karen welcomed me, we looked at my outfits, and then she did my makeup! I was stunned, I’d never seen myself as the girl who looked back at me from the mirror.
Onto the shoot, I loved it! From being someone who runs away from cameras, I became a girl who wanted to pose in every way, and when the images were revealed to me, I was truly lost for words. The woman in the photos is me! I’m still stunned now….
My advice to anyone thinking of booking a session, don’t think about it, just do it. If I can do it, honestly, anyone can, for whatever reason.
I am so happy that I did something for me, just me, and its something that will stay with me forever. Only added to by the next ones I book, because I surely will.
